The problem with meeting women, I am often told, is that they are poised to reject men before they even get to know them.
Guys insist that women will not so much as flash a smile unless a he has:
- George Clooney good looks
- The wardrobe of Don Draper
- The bank account of Richard Branson
- The status of Prince Harry
Not to mention he should be six foot, handy around the house and ready to talk about her hopes, fears and emotions without showing any doubt over his own.
‘The Checklist’ every woman holds is the problem and leaves the regular guy without so much as a chance in the dating game.
And, well, it’s true…kind of.
It would be delusional to try and convince you women do not have a preconceived idea of their future partner. They do.
But don’t you?
When you first approach a woman, you are a stranger, not ‘you’.
She doesn’t know that you have a passion for cricket, or speak Japanese, or where you went to school. She doesn’t know you.
And she relies on comparing you to her ideal of a partner to filter through the many guys that aren’t worth her time.
Having a preconceived idea of what we want our life to look like is how we navigate ourselves towards a life that works for us, a life we love. But that doesn’t mean that those plans are set in stone.
It may sound harsh but, I’m convinced that “The Checklist’ is just an excuse for not going out there and approaching women! How will you know what expectations she does or does not have unless you test them out?
While she may hold hopes of Darcy, everyone knows deep down that their ‘Check List’ is fantasy (if she doesn’t then she’s not worth your time to begin with!).
Your job is to convince her that what you have to offer is a better deal than waiting around for a fictional character.
Want to figure out how that’s done? Just get in contact with me here and find out why you’re worth much more to women than a fantasy!
